This film was released in 2005 and tells the story of John Trudell, a Native American activist.  directed by Heather Rae, this film took more than a decade to put together.  it tells the story of Trudell’s life, his experiences in Vietnam, deals with art, death, poetry, freedom, religion and spirituality and responsibility.  the cast of the film features stars such as Robert Redford, Kris Kristofferson, val kilmer, Jackson Browne and celebrated Native feminist author, Wilma Mankiller.   i think this movie would be appropriate to show at sherman.  it is a well made, interesting documentary.
