The Dead Can’t Dance.

A few weeks ago I helped to present the movie, “The Dead Can’t Dance” at Sherman Native American High School. This film was written and directed by Rodrick Pocowatchit, and he stars in it as well. “The Dead Can’t Dance” is touted as the first ever native directed zombie movie. Its blend of horror and comedy makes it a horrifying and hilarious movie. While the movie moves a little slowly, it is quite funny and it helped the story move along. This also helped to keep it interesting to the students, and throughout the movie there was laughter. As well the overall story was aimed towards high school students. The story of Eddie’s debate to whether go to college or not, and his reconnection to his father, was definitely a story that could relate to high school youth. The students of Sherman responded well to the movie and they stayed for most of the movie, as well as gave it pretty good reviews.
