As preliminary research for our project, Rich and I have been reading about Silicon Valley and the problems surrounding centering immense tech companies within such a tight proximity. We’ve decided to use this post as a sort of jumping off point, where SV’s finest are portrayed as ignorant and selfish man-children. Fair or not, the author views Silicon Valley’s problems as solvable, eventually. I wasn’t onboard until the last two paragraphs, when the author spoke to the vast potential in the Valley for social change. At that point, I became cautiously hopeful that our generation can get off our collective slactivist butts (where I am now, writing a blog post) and enact change where we see issues really worth pushing
