Let’s talk about it: Mass Media..after we read the morning news online. We are no strangers to the manipulative tactics of social platforms. Most individuals know they cannot hide behind a cloud of naiveness. We lack control of what we absorb from the media; We are susceptible to topics, visually and textually stimulating our brains, forming out opinions. Marshal McLuhan, with the aid of Quentin Fiore, created an alarmingly, brilliant book The Medium is the Massage highlights how “All media work us over completely. They are so pervasive in their personal, political, economic, aesthetic, psychocological, moral, ethical, and social consequences that they leave no part of us untouched, unaffected, unaltered.” We are mostly dumbfounded to live in this MASSage.

Media “evoke unique ratios of sense perceptions,” which means how we comprehend exterior stimulus. As Wordsworth points out, we see and our bodies feel with or without our will. Picking a favorite page is not easy, this book does a fantastic job of explaining media’s self-representational nature.
