I don’t know why but i just remember that Gina mention that people tried to stop the spreading of AIDS, however, they did not provide condom in prison, which accelerated the spreading of AIDS in prison, as there was policy that forbid people for having sexual behavior in prison. This might sounds ironic and unreasonable. Whereas, if a person got into jail, which mean he did something wrong and need to be punished, therefore, what prison did was reasonable. I think i had this story or fact deep in my mind might because it allowed me to connect it to a lot of social events. Nowadays, we always blame the media for misleading people and also spread the unreal truth to the public. The different media companies also criticize each other for reporting or using some overstate headline to attract readers’ attention. However, while they criticize each other, they still use the same strategy. They knew what they did was wrong and sometimes unethical, but most of them chose to continue doing so. Sometimes, i will consider about the pictures that really shock us and leave us a deep impression, thinking that it is worth or not. Most of pictures that can touch our heart are those with story or miserable. One one hand, through those picture, we did learn a lot and sometimes they might change us. One the other hand, i will think that whether is fair for us to learn from others tragedy. So

me people criticize for the journalist, as they believe sometimes what they picture or what they write did not really concern about ot

hers’ feeling. However, just like prison story, sometimes it was those unethical reports or news change or influence us.  Today, with the development of the technology, we can easily learn a lot about each other, no matte we want or not. Just like the book mentioned:”    Too many people know too much about each other. Our new environment compels commitment and participation. We have become irrevocably involved with, and responsible for, each other.” (page. 24)” . However, being so closed to others, most of people will feel scared and panic. we had no choice but continue learn each other as we don’t expect to be discarded by the society, which also kind of ironic.

I see what you’re saying, but I think it’s really important to acknowledge how people of certain communities have the cards stacked against them when it comes to the criminal justice system. No, not everyone who is in jail committed a crime that they deserve to be punished for.
