The founders of Occupy Hong Kong are turning themselves in: The three—Benny Tai Yiu-ting, the Rev. Chu Yiu-ming, and Dr. Chan Kin-man—said they will face the consequences of their civil disobedience and urge protesting students to “retreat.”
This is interesting because it goes back to the comment in class about a movement having one group and one leader. It appears Joshua Wong Chi-fung, convenor of the student activist group Scholarism, has gone on a hunger strike, and the other group didn’t support it. I think it is extremely important to have a vision that everyone shares, it makes it that much more potent.
